Friends of the Doherty Library Lecture Series
Thursday, November 7, 2013 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM

It is easier than ever for students to take college courses and earn degrees while sitting in the comfort of their own homes. However, online learning often faces the stigma of being inferior to traditional classes. Online teaching presents a unique set of challenges, and creating effective online courses requires a dif-ferent mindset than traditional teaching.

Join us in the Doherty lobby Thursday, November 7th at 12:30 p.m. for a lecture by Dr. Jean Kiekel. She will discuss both the rewards and the frustrations of teaching in an online environment.
