Suicide Prevention Week
All day from Monday, September 9, 2013 to Saturday, September 14, 2013 | Campus Mall

Counseling & Disability Services will sponsor a visual display entitled “Don’t Sit in Silence” for National Suicide Prevention week. On September 9, 105 empty chairs will be placed on the campus mall to represent the number of suicides that occur in the United States each day. On the chairs will be messages of hope, crisis and suicide hotline numbers, warning signs of suicide and resources for seeking help.

University of St. Thomas will host a blood drive with the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center. All are invited to attend and donate blood. Walk-ins are welcome.

On the Life & Thought of Blessed John Paul II

Pope John Paul II Forum and the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist will host a six week mini-course for faith enrichment on "Why He is a Saint: On the Life and Thought of Blessed John Paul II," taught by Dr. John Hittinger. Tuesdays, September 10 - October 15, 7:00-8:30pm in Clare Hall.
