Celts Wrap Up Year in NAIA Opening
Photo: Volleyball TeamThe University of St. Thomas volleyball team lost 0-3 to MidAmerica Nazarene University in the opening round of the 2012 National Association for Intercollegiate Athletics Volleyball National Championship Tournament. With scores of 13-25, 18-25 and 17-25, the Celts ended their historic season on Nov. 17 at the Bell Family Arena in Olathe, Kansas.

UST’s Stephanie Biediger led the offense posting eight kills and a .130 attack percentage. Brittany Weiler had 19 assists and eight digs on the match.  The defense was led by senior defensive specialist Monica Litle with nine digs.

St. Thomas finished up the season at 19-17 and was the runner up in the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament.
