Arceneaux-Francis Nabs Third Award
Photo: Amber Arceneaux-Francis Amber Arceneaux-Francis followed up last week's Red River Athletic Conference Player of the Week award by winning it again for the week of Jan. 7-13. This is the third time this season Arceneaux-Francis has beat out the competition to win the award.

"Amber followed up a great week of awards, at both the conference and national levels, with two more dominant performances," Head Coach Mike Ricks said. "She is really making a name for herself." 

Arceneaux-Francis, a senior forward from Houston, averaged 26 points and 10.5 rebounds per game in a 1-1 week for the Celts. She posted 28 points and 12 boards to help defeat Huston-Tillotson University 70-62. Arceneaux-Francis also accounted for 24 points and nine rebounds in a 75-70 loss at Langston University. She connected on 16 of 34 shots from the field and 20 of 24 from the free throw line for the week.

UST is now 5-4 in conference play and 8-8 for the season.
