Celts Crush University of Dallas Crusaders
The University of St. Thomas men’s basketball team hit the road Saturday, Feb. 12, and earned a 67-47 victory over the University of Dallas.

The first half saw both teams hitting shots early. The Celts shot 42 percent from the field while the Crusaders shot 41 percent. The Celts headed to the locker room with a 4-point lead.

The second half was a different story for the Celts. Strong defense and rebounding held the Crusaders to just 38 percent shooting for the game. The Celts out-rebounded the Crusaders 38-25 showing their dominance on the boards. The Celts turned up the heat with their hot shooting. Scorching the nets for 52 percent in the second half, the Celts pulled away for a 20-point victory.

The 11-10 Celts were led in scoring by Bryan Kaase with 19 points and 9 rebounds. Five other Celts scored at least 7 points. The Celts will finish the short two-game road trip with its game against Southwestern Assemblies of God at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb 17.
