Wilbratte has spent more than half his life teaching at St. Thomas. He is replacing Dr. Bahman Mirshab who served as dean from 2006 to 2012.

When the Cameron School of Business was formed in 1978, he played a key role in the formation of the MBA program. As a professor of economics, finance and decision information sciences, he served in numerous capacities including department chair and associate dean to three consecutive Cameron School of Business deans.

Wilbratte received the 2010 Joseph M. McFadden Excellence in Service Award. He was the first to teach an evening course at UST and the first to teach an MBA course. He was instrumental in helping the Cameron School obtain AACSB accreditation.

Wilbratte retired from the faculty of the Cameron School of Business in May 2011 and has been honored by the UST Board of Directors for his 40 years of outstanding service to the University. He is known for his mentorship of both students and fellow faculty members.

The Cameron School of Business educates students of diverse backgrounds, teaching professional skills necessary for a changing global economy and instilling a deep appreciation for ethical behavior inspired by the educational tradition of the founding Basilian Fathers. Through internships and networking events, Cameron School of Business graduates have landed positions in many top global corporations.
