Brianne Hodenfield Signs with Women's Basketball Team
6/28/2011

Brianne Hodenfield signed a letter of intent to play for the University of St. Thomas inaugural women’s basketball team on June 27, 2011.

Hodenfield comes from Texas A&M where she received a minor in sport management. In high school at Fort Bend Baptist Academy, she averaged 15 PPG and 8.8 RPG. Hodenfield was a four-time First Team All-District player and second team All-State in 2008.

“I’m super excited about being a part of the first ever University of St. Thomas Women’s basketball team.” Hodenfield says. “I’ve taken a couple of years off, but I’m looking forward to returning to playing basketball competitively again, especially at the collegiate level for the first time.

"Since a lot of the girls on the team are from the Houston area, I’ve played against some of my new teammates in both high school and in AAU basketball in the past. We’ve got a great amount of talent on or team, and I think we’ll really surprise a lot of people this year.”

Hodenfield is majoring in marketing.
