The University of St. Thomas men's basketball team
lost a tough game, 78-73, at Southwestern Assemblies of God University on Jan. 5.
St. Thomas came out shooting the ball extremely well finishing the half at 61 percent from the floor. However, the Celts could not stop the Lions, who had 11 offensive rebounds to even the score to 43 by the half. SAGU Lion Dominique Rambo led all scorers with 32 points, 23 of which he scored in the first half.
Senior Caleb Williams
finished the game with 19 points and was 5 of 6 from 3-point line. Senior point guard Travis Lampley
had another double-double with 14 points and 11 assists.
UST is 4-3 in Red River Athletic Conference
play and 8-4 overall. The Celts will play Huston-Tillotson University at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 8 at home in Jerabeck Gym.
