Trained as an engineer and moving into a regulatory area of CenterPoint Energy, Standish earned a Master of Business Administration from UST in 1984. The liberal arts and professional curriculum gave him the training he needed to rise through the ranks.

“I am honored to have been chosen as the first recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award from the Cameron School of Business,” Standish said. “I have often relied on my UST education for the combination of business knowledge and moral and ethical training that is so critical today."
