Celts Lose to St. Mary's 53-76
Playing their first game in 11 days, the Celts took the floor against Division II foe St. Mary’s University Rattlers on Jan. 29 in San Antonio. The Celts lost 53-76. The Celts got off to a good start with 52 percent shooting in the first half. The Celts were also hot from the 3 point line going 5-10 for 50 percent. The 9-10 Celts took a small 2 point half time lead to the locker room.

The second half saw the Celts’ shooting run from hot to ice cold. While struggling to shoot only 20 percent in the second half, the Celts were still only down 3 points with 9 minutes to go.

Anthony Medina led the Celts in scoring with 15 points going 3-6 from long range. The only other Celt in double figures was Jeremy Lewis with 13 points. The Celts will return to the court on Thursday, Feb. 3 at Huston-Tillotson before returning home Saturday, Feb. 5 to the face University of New Orleans at 3 p.m.
