DiNardo Leads Prayer for Christian Unity

The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity has been celebrated across the globe for over 100 years. It is a time when Christians of all confessions and denominations come together to join in the prayer of Christ descried in John 17:21, “That they may be one, so the world will know that you sent me.”

At 7 p.m. on Jan. 24 at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 1111 St. Joseph Parkway, Daniel Cardinal DiNardo, along with other Houston judicatory leaders, will gather for an evening of prayer for Christian unity.

The international theme chosen for 2014 finds its origins in 1 Corinthians 1: 1-17 in which Paul asks, “Has Christ been divided?”

The event will feature a Concert of Praise followed by a Prayer Service. The Concert of Praise will begin promptly at 7 p.m. with the Prayer Service beginning at 7:30 p.m.
