Pulitzer-Prizing Winning 'Our Town' Opens at UST
Photo: Our TownGrover’s Corners will soon take the stage of Jones Hall at the University of St. Thomas. "Our Town," by Pulitzer Prize winner Thornton Wilder, opens at 8 p.m. on Friday, July 13 in Jones Hall, 3802 Yoakum Blvd.
Sponsored by the Houston Theater Company and St. Thomas, the opening night performance will include a pre-performance reception at 6:30 p.m. in the Jones Hall Lobby. The performance proceeds will benefit the School of Nursing.
Louis Provenzano '98, alumnus with both an undergraduate degree in theology and master's of arts in pastoral study from UST, will return to the campus as the director. Set in Grover's Corners, New Hampshire in the early 20th century. The three-act play is about an average town's citizens depicted through their everyday lives.
All performances are at 8 p.m. and the show runs for three weekends from July 13-14, 20-21 and 27-28. Tickets are $15 for general admission and $12 for the St. Thomas community.

HTC and St. Thomas will have another pre-performance reception at 6:30 p.m. on June 27. This performance will benefit drama department scholarships.
