ESL gives aspiring players the opportunity to play in front of scouts and agents to earn a chance at a professional contract overseas. At 5-feet-11-inches, Lewis put on a performance for the crowd.

Playing for Team Okinawa, Lewis scored 20 points, had five rebounds and four assists on Day 2 of the event in a game versus Team Tokyo. For the weekend, he averaged 10 points, four rebounds and three assists in five games.

UST Men's Basketball Head Coach and Athletic Director Todd Smith attended the Friday evening game and said Lewis made him proud.
"He definitely belonged, and I believe he was one of the stronger players at the event," Smith said. "Jeremy made his presence felt on the court. He played the point and was vocal, aggressive and the obvious leader of the team.”

At St. Thomas, Lewis led the Celts in scoring in his last season at 14 points per game. He was also named to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Red River Conference All-Conference Team.

"I have not coached many players more passionate about the game of basketball," Smith said. "I know it his life-long dream to play professionally. If he continues to work as hard as he did this weekend at the ESL, his dream will come true.”
