The University of St. Thomas men's soccer team was defeated 4-0 at the University of Texas-Brownsville Thursday, Sept. 22.  It was the team's first match in the Red River Athletic Conference. The loss dropped the Celts to 0-4-1 on the season.

Longtime University of St. Thomas friend and benefactor Barbara Franzheim Dror passed away on Dec. 17. A celebration of her life will be held on her upcoming birthday at 4 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 7, in the Chapel of St. Basil. The St. Basil Schola, directed by Lowell A. Davis, will perform Gregorian Chant for the service.

Jan 04, 2011  St. Edward’s Ends Celts' Winning Streak
St. Thomas put its four-game winning streak on the line Jan. 3 as they welcomed in A.I. I. Division II foe St. Edward’s University. The Celts were able to keep the game close down the stretch with strong defense, but fell short with a 65-74 loss.

Jan 03, 2011  Celts Take Down No. 4 Ranked Texas Wesleyan
The Men's Basketball team defeated No. 4 nationally ranked Texas Wesleyan on Dec. 30 72-64. The victory ended Wesleyan's previously undefeated season, and continued the Celts' winning streak to four consecutive games.

Dr. Judith M. Ryan, associate professor of New Testament at the University of St. Thomas School of Theology at St. Mary's Seminary, passed away on Dec. 27.
