Reflected RevelationThe University of St. Thomas announced awards in its inaugural 2012 Photography Contest, which was open to students as well as the general public. Amateur and professional photographers submitted more than 230 works in the categories of campus architecture, faith/character and campus life, and the winners were announced on Nov. 8.

The photograph, “Reflected Revelation,” from the Professional Faith/Character category, was selected Grand Prize winner by the judges. Photographer Josh Goldson will receive the Grand Prize Award of $1,500, and the photograph, along with all the finalist photos, will be on display at the University.

“We are inspired by the various stories and perspectives revealed in the artwork,” said University of St. Thomas President Dr. Robert Ivany. “Photographers from Houston and beyond have captured significant insights into the University’s role and place within the community.”
