Fr. Michael Czerny, S.J.Business school deans from 23 Catholic universities gathered in Houston on March 31 for a groundbreaking business ethics conference hosted by the University of St. Thomas-Houston’s Center for Faith and Culture in collaboration with the Cameron School of Business.

In honor of Pope Francis’ first year as pontiff,  the University of St. Thomas Center for Faith and Culture will host the Rev. Thomas Rosica, CSB, for a special lecture. The lecture, “New Peripheries for the Church: The Franciscan Quiet Revolution One Year Later,’ will be given at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 23 in Jones Hall, 3910 Yoakum Blvd.

Louise and Mark ZwickThe Center for Faith and Culture awarded Louise and Mark Zwick, founders of the Casa Juan Diego in Houston, with the Faithful Citizenship Award at the Third Annual Faithful Citizenship Dinner & Lecture on Oct. 1 at River Oaks Country Club. The Center also welcomed the Rev. Drew Christiansen, S.J., former editor-in-chief of America magazine, to speak about “Pacem in Terris.”

Photo: Cardinal DiNardoDaniel Cardinal DiNardo gave insights on “The Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy,” the first document of Vatican II, issued on Dec. 4, 1963, and the state of the Liturgy in the United States, both before and after Vatican II. The lecture was on Feb. 20 in Jones Hall on the University of St. Thomas campus.
