The Center for Faith and Culture awarded Louise and Mark Zwick, founders of the Casa Juan Diego in Houston, with the Faithful Citizenship Award at the Third Annual Faithful Citizenship Dinner & Lecture on Oct. 1 at River Oaks Country Club. The Center also welcomed the Rev. Drew Christiansen, S.J., former editor-in-chief of America magazine, to speak about “Pacem in Terris.”

Daniel Cardinal DiNardo gave insights on “The Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy,” the first document of Vatican II, issued on Dec. 4, 1963, and the state of the Liturgy in the United States, both before and after Vatican II. The lecture was on Feb. 20 in Jones Hall on the University of St. Thomas campus.

The University of St. Thomas Center for Faith and Culture will host the annual Archbishop Joseph A. Fiorenza Lecture with Dr. John Borelli, research fellow at the Woodstock Theological Center at Georgetown University, at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 3 in Jones Hall, 3910 Yoakum Blvd. Borelli will speak about “Understanding and Interpreting Vatican II and the Promotion of Dialogue.”
