Study Abroad Scholarships to Ireland and Northern Ireland
Annually, the Center for Irish Studies awards scholarships to students to study abroad in Ireland during the fall and spring semesters and to study on the Center’s Study Abroad Program in Ireland and Northern Ireland during the summer.

Irish Government Language Awards
To support the Irish language program, the Irish Government has awarded the University grants for 2006-2014. These grants are used to promote Irish language and heritage by providing for an Irish Visiting Scholar and assisting the Center in building a library of research materials in the Irish language.

Irish Studies Scholarships on Campus
The Flynn Center for Irish Studies also will award $500 to the first 10 people who register and qualify for a scholarship in the non-language Irish Studies courses.

Scholarship for Northern Ireland Students
The University participates in the Study USA scholarship program, formerly known as the Business Education Initiative scholarship program. This scholarship, sponsored by the Northern Ireland Government and the British Council, brings students to the United States from Northern Ireland for a full-year academic program. Through this program, students attend faith-based universities and colleges in the United States to study business. They experience another culture and pursue their education in a peaceful setting, away from conflict and sectarianism. Through exposure to business, commerce and education in the United States, the program envisions students will return to Northern Ireland and improve its economy and way of life.

After participating in the Study USA/BEI program for several years and witnessing first-hand the quality of the students and the goals of the program, we strongly believe in the merits of program and are committed to its continuation. This program fulfills one of our mutual goals of building peace and reconciliation in Northern Ireland and returning students to Northern Ireland full of confidence and inspiration to make Northern Ireland a better place for business and peace to thrive.

Irish American Scholars Program
The University and other universities in the United States who participate in the Study USA/Business Education Initiative Program are eligible for reciprocal scholarships for students to attend colleges and universities in Northern Ireland.
