In support of the University’s academic and service mission, the Office of Extended Programs provides and manages a range of academic and non-academic programs and services.
The Office administers the Master in Liberal Arts Program (MLA), an academic interdisciplinary graduate degree program in the humanities and social sciences.
In collaboration with the Institute of Reading Development (IRD), the Office offers on-campus and off-campus reading programs for children, youth and adults as a community outreach activity.
UST offers music education to students and the community through its Music Preparatory School. MPS has programs during the regular school year and summer camps.
Additionally, in support of the University’s undergraduate student recruitments efforts, the Office of Extended Programs creates and maintains articulation agreements with area community and junior colleges.
Extended Programs also coordinates the planning and implementation of distance learning initiatives at the University.
