Master in Liberal Arts Degree Offers 18 Concentrations
Lauren Shelley, MLA ’15 – a high school English teacher in Spring Branch ISD – earned her Master in Liberal Arts degree from UST in December, with a concentration in English. “I entered UST’s MLA program with the goal of teaching dual-credit English classes to my students,” said Shelley. “Now, I’m employed with both Spring Branch ISD and Houston Community College.” Read more
MLA Alumnus Named Secondary Principal of the Year
In only his third year as principal of Fairview Junior High, Bobby Martinez, MLA ’08, was named 2016 Secondary Principal of the Year for the Alvin Independent School District. Martinez concurrently completed a Master in Liberal Arts degree and a professional certificate in educational administration from UST in 2008, which he said greatly benefited his professional career.
