Three Pillars of GRACE

Emily Feczko at Resurrection Catholic SchoolThese three pillars of the GRACE Program stand on a foundation of service to strengthen and support the program:
  • Spiritual Development (Spirituality)
  • Community
  • Professional Development

Spiritual Development (Spirituality)

The members of the GRACE Program (“GRACErs”) are called to grow in their spirituality and help their cohorts to do the same. They accomplish this through the following disciplines:

  • Weekly meeting for spiritual development
  • Daily community prayer
  • Small prayer groups within the larger group
  • Group participation in Mass
  • Participation in Adoration of Blessed Sacrament
  • Retreats
  • Guest speakers
  • Focus on Christ, the teacher, in daily activities

Each cohort member has responsibilities to fulfill for the community to stay strong, organized and happy. The GRACE community comes together for fellowship and participates in these activities:

  • Prayer, play, work and feast
  • Monthly social outings
  • Dinner together most nights
  • Movie nights
  • Exercising together
  • Cooking for one another
  • Shopping for the whole community

The GRACE family members console one another when there are difficulties and celebrate the many blessings that are bestowed.

Professional Development

The members of the GRACE Program learn what it is to be a highly effective, professional Catholic school educator and leader of faith and character. GRACE members have a strong network of supporters and educators including:

  • Graduates of similar programs
  • Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston administration
  • One another

All of these supporters come together to discuss the work they are called to do and how to do it in the most optimal way.
