Rimbau is Bound for Colombia with Fulbright Fellowship
Dr. Rimbau, Chair of Bilingual and Dual Language Programs at the University of St. Thomas School of Education, has been awarded a Fulbright Fellowship and assigned to work with local educators and students in San Andreas, Colombia, for the next five years to address their bilingual needs. Read more
HISD Finds Leaders in Education at UST
Last year, the Houston Independent School District hired more of its leaders and certified administrators from the University of St. Thomas than any other Houston-based university. Graduates of the School of Education enjoy an outstanding reputation in the educational community and have a great time learning to change lives for the better. The School of Education daytime program is centered on a cohort model, which fosters the development of a community of learners.
School of Education students have opportunities to learn outside of the classroom in such places as the Houston Arboretum.
Professional Development Opportunities
At St. Thomas, students have the opportunity to attend and experience professional conferences with their professors. Students are joining a large and diverse profession. While teaching credentials are the entry professional role, educators have access to career choices from the classroom to the boardroom.
