The Fifth-Year Masters and Secondary Education program gives students who have certain bachelor’s degrees the opportunity to earn a master’s degree in education by completing a fifth year at the University. This initiative prepares teachers for both public and private middle and high schools.

The program begins with students earning a B.A. in composite science, math, language arts or social sciences. Immediately upon completion of the B.A., during the fifth year, students will complete an in-depth preparation focusing on secondary education to earn a Master of Arts in Teaching.

The five-year program will attract current and future students who have a passion for their course of study and who also want to pursue teaching.
