Outside Scholarships


In addition to University scholarships and federal financial aid, UST encourages students to pursue outside scholarship opportunities. Please keep in mind that you should never have to send an application fee when applying for a scholarship.

Once awarded, outside scholarship funds are mailed to our office and posted to your student account. When you have been awarded an outside scholarship, communication with our office is important. Please have your outside scholarship donors mail the scholarship check(s) made payable to the University of St. Thomas (along with any correspondence) to:

Abbott and Fenner Scholarship Program

Abbott & Fenner Business Consultants will be awarding up to $1,000 to the winner(s) each year.

Scholarship Deadline   -  June 10, 2016.

ADT Safe From the Start Scholarship

Scholarship Details:

Interested applicants must be currently enrolled at a college/university or be enrolling in the upcoming semester.  Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent legal resident of the U.S. Scholarship recipient will receive a one-time $500 scholarship that is made payable to the student’s approved college/university and mailed directly to the designated college/university.  Interested students should write a 500-600 word essay on the stated essay topic.

Arxan Cyber Security Scholarship

Arxan is proud to offer a $2,000 scholarship to one student each semester who showcases their knowledge, passion and dedication to advancements in the cyber security field.

Application Prerequisites 

Student is enrolled in one of the following programs:

Is interested in helping students who demonstrate a strong aptitude for learning, and have a drive to improve themselves, and society in general.  Winners will be determined by our executive team each spring and fall semester.


Diet Spot Light Scholarship

2015 is the third year of their scholarship program and they are offering an essay contest where students can share their ideas on obesity. The application deadline is December 31, 2015 and they will be giving away four awards – one for $3,000 and three for $1,000.

DOMO Scholarship For Business Management is offering two (2) $2,500 Scholarships to students majoring in Business, Business Management, Analytics.

The Drive To Learn Scholarship provided by Shift Insurance

In an effort to contribute to the community, we have started a small scholarship fund for full time college students. Our goal is to provide this award to students on an annual basis.


EnergyRates Scholarship

Energy Rates is offering a $500 scholarship to any American or Canadian student enrolled in a post-secondary educational institution. Whether you need to pay for your classes or textbooks, or just to put food on the table this semester, it’s yours to do with as you please. All you have to do to be considered for the scholarship is write an essay, no more than 500 words in length, telling us where you see the future of the energy industry. The Expert Institute's Healthcare and Life Sciences Scholarship

Without the technical insights provided by members of the healthcare and life science communities, attorneys would not be able to effectively seek justice for their clients. Healthcare and life science professionals have become an essential part of American justice. In recognition of these vital contributions to the practice of law, The Expert Institute is offering a $1000 scholarship to students in medicine and the life sciences.


Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be actively pursuing a degree related to healthcare or the life sciences.
  • A minimum 3.0 GPA.

Flosum 2015 Scholarship

This is a new $750 scholarship award open to pursuing or intending to pursue their bachelor’s degree which can be in the fields of computer engineering, computer science or in another technical discipline such as electrical engineering, physics or mathematics with an interest in the field of computer science. Good360 Sustainability Scholarship - $1,000 - 1 Award 

Student Eligibility:

We want to hear how sustainability has touched your life. If you’re a high school senior applying to college, or you’re currently a college student, and you have an interest in sustainability and the environment, then we’d love to hear your thoughts on what sustainability means to you. Thus, we’re sponsoring a college scholarship with an award of $1,000 to go towards tuition.

Graduate Programs Foundation

JUNIORS & SENIORS:  Graduate Programs will award $1,000 scholarships to pre-grad students who are current undergraduates (Juniors and Seniors) in an accredited institution who are thinking of applying to Grad school, or are recent college graduates who are thinking about going to Grad school. In order to apply, the student must provide some basic information and a “Statement of Purpose.”

Award: $1,000/quarterly

We at Headset Plus would like to help an ambitious college student toward his/her college expenses with a $1000 scholarship . The contest requires you to create a short YouTube video about yourself, your past achievements and how you can help shape the world around you, why college education is important, and tell us what motivates you? Give us examples what you have achieved in school and outside of school.


  • High school senior entering college, current college students, or graduate school
  • Student must have maintained at least a 3.0 GPA
  • Applicant must be at least 16 years of age
  • Applicants must be legal residents or citizen of the United States.

Submissions Will Be Judged On:

Your Video will be judged on the level of creativity and persuasiveness, as well as its content.

Hellenic Professional Society of Texas

Each year the Society awards scholarships to qualified undergraduate and graduate full-time students. Applicants are eligible for a scholarship if they are currently attending or have been accepted by a college or university in Texas, have shown excellent scholastic performance in their corresponding field of study and are of Hellenic heritage. The Society also accepts applications from students of non-Greek descent that have demonstrated clear, strong and sustained excellence in academic studies related to Greek letters or affairs.

The Mesothelioma Cancer Alliance Scholarship

The Mesothelioma Cancer Alliance is proud to award $4,000 to one student each semester whose life has been impacted by cancer.

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to college students in their pursuit of higher education. If you’ve battled a form of cancer yourself, or witnessed a loved one receiving treatment, we want to hear your story.

Rocky Mountain Educational Dreams Scholarships

The Lamber-Goodnow Injury Law Team is part of Fennemore Craig, P.C., which has offices throughout the Southwest and more than 450 employees, including 200 attorneys. The firm is currently offering several Rocky Mountain Educational Dreams Scholarships for hardworking students across the country and we would like to make these scholarship opportunities available to your students. 

 There are several scholarships with varying deadlines that renew at the same time each year. The deadlines for the ascholarships are July 31st and December 15th (yearly).

Sixt Rent a Car

Sixt rent a car is pleased to offer five high school seniors graduating in 2016 the opportunity to receive a $5,000 scholarship and become a Sixt Scholar. The program is designed to assist high school students who plan to continue their education in college. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.  For more information click here.

U.S. Department of State Critical Language Scholarship Program

A program of the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program offers intensive summer language institutes in thirteen critical foreign languages. The selection process is administered by American Councils for International Education with awards approved by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

The Verbal Ink Transcription Services Scholarship

Each year, the Verbal Ink Transcription Services Scholarship awards a $1,500 scholarship to a graduating high school senior or current college freshman. The scholarship will be renewable each year for up to four years, provided that the award recipient maintains a 3.0 GPA or equivalent and completes the minimum number of credit hours required to be a full-time student each academic year.


Zeno Property Management Jobs Scholarships

Jobs is pleased to support students in their quest to better their lives through higher education with the launch of their annual David Zeno Founders’ Scholarship. Three scholarships will be awarded to bright, dedicated students intending to pursue or pursuing an undergraduate college degree in whatever field interests them the most.
