Returning Admissions Requirements

Returning Admissions Requirements

UST faculty and staff are eager to help you finish your degree by providing one-on-one mentoring and advising. Former students and returning continuing students should review the following requirements and instructions to determine the appropriate application process to pursue.

Admissions Requirements for Returning Transfer Students

Students that have been away from the University of St. Thomas for at least two years and/or have attended another institution must meet the following criteria:

  • A cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher for all college work completed is required of all transfer applicants.
  • Applicants with 24 or more transferable academic hours will be evaluated solely on their college work, evidenced by final, official transcripts from every institution of higher education attended.
  • Applicants with fewer than 24 transferable academic hours will be considered on the same basis as freshman applicants except that they will also need to submit a final, official transcript from every institution of higher education attended to complete their application.
  • Transfer applicants must be eligible to return to the last institution attended.

Please visit the Admissions Requirements for Transfer Students page for instructions on how to apply.

Admissions Requirements for Returning Continuing Students

Students that have been away from UST for less than two years and have not attended another institution will be reactivated when they fill out the abbreviated application form in the Office of the Registrar. After being reactivated, returning continuing students can continue with their studies as if they never left the University.
