Campus Living Enhances College Experience
Living on campus, commuting from home, finding an apartment – as families weigh the options for college accommodations, the University of St. Thomas asks parents to consider what UST students have to say about campus life.

Students frequently cite safety, convenience, affordability and greater access to University activities as benefits of campus living. Studies have shown that students who choose to live on campus have better grades, are more involved in the campus community, and can transition more easily into the university culture. What better way to know what’s going on at our campus than to live here?

Talitha Tanksley transferred to UST from San Jacinto College and lives in Guinan Hall. “Living on campus has given me more opportunities to make friends and be involved with campus life,” Tanksley said. “My fellow residents at Guinan have really become a second family.

It’s so convenient to live on campus. I hear about people who wake up at 6 a.m. to commute to class, but I can wake up 10 minutes before class and get there on time. There is never any excuse to be late.”
