Parking? No Problem

Parking? No Problem
The most common complaint of university students on urban campuses is a lack of accessible parking. But parents won’t hear students at the University of St. Thomas gripe about parking facilities.

Moran Center Parking Facility at the University of St. Thomas.The Moran Center, dedicated in 2004 offers a safe, convenient, and centrally located place to park. Monitored by security cameras, with the Campus Security Office right below, students may park in the garage for a fee of $75 per semester.

UST students Meredith Spies and Zain Hussain say parking is never a problem.

“I prefer to park in Moran Center Parking Garage instead of on the street because I feel it’s safer,” Spies said. “My classes are scattered around campus, so it’s easier to park in a central spot than somewhere on the street.”

Hussain said, “I park in the garage every day because I know I will be able to find a spot, and I’m never late to class. Especially with the school growing, it’s getting harder to park on the street, and I feel like my car is safe there.”
