Outside Scholarships
It is the responsibility of the student to pursue outside scholarships. Please visit our Helpful Links page for free scholarship searches. Please keep in mind that you should never have to send in money when applying for a scholarship. Once awarded, outside scholarship funds will be mailed to our office and posted to your student account. It is important to communicate with our office anytime you have been awarded an outside scholarship.

Asian Women In Business Scholarship

Description:

The Asian Women In Business Scholarship is available to female Asian and Pacific Islander students. You must be enrolled full time in an accredited four-year undergraduate program in the United States, have a minimum GPA of 3.0, and demonstrate leadership, community service and/or entrepreneurship to be eligible for this award. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.

Amount:  $2500

Deadline:  August 01, 2010

ASIST Scholarship

Description:

The ASIST Scholarship Program is offered to Houston area students through Executive Women International (EWI)EWI is an organization which brings together key individuals from diverse businesses for the purpose of promoting member firms, enhancing personal and professional development and encouraging community involvement.

Deadline:  April 30, 2010

British American Foundation of Texas

The British American Foundation of Texas is a non profit organization focused on providing educational scholarships to aspiring and highly motivated students from low-income families.

Applicants qualifications:

  • Must qualify for low income support according to FAFSA

  • Must be enrolled full time in a Texas university (preference will be given to Texas residents)

  • Must provide a current reference from a current academic advisor

  • Must submit an essay

  • Must provide a financial plan to pay tuition balance

Amount:  Up to $5,000

Deadline:  March 31, 2010
