- When should I apply to UST?
We evaluate applicants on a rolling basis. However, we recommend transfer students apply 1-2 semesters prior to the semester of interest.
- Is my transferring GPA combined with my UST GPA?
No. You will start with a new GPA when you begin attending UST.
- How many hours can I transfer to UST?
UST accepts up to 72 hours from two-year colleges and up to 90 hours from four-year colleges and universities.
- Can I find out how many credits will transfer before I apply to UST?
Absolutely! We encourage you to do so by scheduling a personal appointment with your admissions counselor to discuss your individual transfer credit and degree plan. For general accepted courses, view our transfer course equivalency guide.
- When do I apply for Financial Aid?
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available beginning January 2 each year for the upcoming school year (including fall, spring, and summer). We encourage students to complete their FAFSA by the priority deadline of April 15. Financial aid is awarded once a student is admitted, so we recommend completing your application as soon as possible.
- Does UST offer scholarships for transfer students?
Monaghan Scholarships are available to all incoming full-time UST transfer students with a GPA of 3.0 and at least 16 hours of transferrable college credit. For more information, please see Transfer Scholarships.
- Who can I talk to about VA benefits?
Phillip Butcher is our Director of Veteran Services and can help you with required paperwork and any questions you may have. Find more information about our Veteran Services.
- I have been admitted. What are my next steps?
Once you have received you packet from the admissions office containing your official admission letter and other important information, the next step will be to submit your $200 enrollment deposit when you have made your decision about attending UST. Your admissions counselor will contact you about meeting with an academic advisor to register for classes. Academic advising and registration will begin in May for the fall semester and in November for the spring semester.
