Director of Transfer Admissions & Veteran Services
 Phillip Butcher serves as the Director of Transfer Admissions & Veteran Services for the University. Phillip received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in marketing from the University of Houston in 2009. He came to St. Thomas from the engineering firm Smith Seckman Reid, where he worked in the Marketing Department. Phillip was originally hired to run the Veteran Services program at the University but was quickly promoted to also oversee the Transfer Admissions program. He brings the perspective of both a transfer and veteran student to UST and he works hard to make sure the Admissions process is simple and accessible to all students.
“I remember all of the confusion that I had when I first separated from the military and then again when I got ready to transfer schools. I felt like I had my head in the clouds and there was a lot of uncertainty,” Butcher said. “I want to make sure that our students are better informed than I was so that they can take advantage of all of the different opportunities.” |
