Gentle Yoga

Mondays 12:15-1:00 PM
(January 26 – April 27)
Instructor: Robin

Gentle Yoga is a class that involves mind-body connection that helps to develop focus, balance, strength and flexibility. This class is designed to provide instructions on yoga methods, breathing and stretching. This flowing restorative class combines different yoga formats to create a class gentle enough to attend every day or in addition to other classes. Gentle yoga is ideal for students looking to begin their practice or for those concerned with injury.

Mat Pilates

Mondays 5:30-6:30 PM
(January 26 – April 27)
Instructor: Cindy

Mat Pilates is a blend of classical and contemporary Pilates utilizing light/medium weights, Thera-bands and the Magic Circle.  Pilates is an effective way of improving strength, flexibility, posture, spinal mobility, body awareness and balance.  Pilates has a unique ability to complement and enhance performance in other activities such as golf, running, swimming, tennis and beyond.  Pilates elongates and strengthens, improving muscle elasticity and joint mobility. Pilates, when done correctly, offers major fitness benefits, requires mental focus, connects the mind and body, and truly sculpts the abdominals like nothing else!  It is a total-body and core-centric workout wherein quality of movement is valued over quantity of repetitions. You will tone, sculpt, strengthen, lengthen and stretch in this intermediate class!

Tuesdays 5:30-6:30 PM
(January 20 – April 28)
Instructor: Lily

Zumba® has evolved from a Latin inspired aerobic dance class into a way of life for millions. It’s an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness-party.  Zumba Fitness® is the only Latin-inspired dance-fitness program that blends red-hot international music and contagious steps to form a fitness-party that is downright addictive.  This work-out is a non-stop cardio dance party that is sure to burn some serious calories.

Wednesdays 12:15-1:15 PM
(January 21 – April 29)
Instructor: Traci

This Yoga class is a more vigorous approach to yoga characterized by the synchronization of poses to the breath. This style is sometimes also called flow yoga, because of the smooth way that the poses run together. With each pose, the body grows stronger and more toned to function better on a daily basis.

Pilates Barre

Wednesdays 5:30-6:30 PM
(January 21 – April 29)
Instructor: Cindy

This dance-based workout focuses primarily on core and leg strength, but includes exercises for your entire body.  This class utilizes the ballet barre to perform small, isometric movements that target specific areas such as abs, hips, seats, and arms. Each strength segment is followed by a stretching segment to create long, lean muscle without bulk. Both dancers and non-dancers alike are sure to be challenged as they use both the barre and the mat to launch a full blown attack on the muscles.

Thursdays 5:30-6:30 PM
(January 22 – April 30)
Instructor: Dana

Piloxing® cardio fusion incorporates cutting edge research and fitness techniques to burn maximum calories, build lean muscles, and increase stamina. The Piloxing® program uniquely blends the power, speed, and agility of boxing with exhilarating dance moves and targeted sculpting and flexibility of Pilates. Put it all together, and you have a muscle-toning, fat-burning workout that will make you feel physically and mentally empowered!

Hip & Core Yoga

Thursdays 7:30-8:30 PM
(January 22 – April 30)
Instructor: Leslie

This hips and core are very vital supporting structures of the body.  We live in a culture where the norm is to sit for long hours in class, at work and in the car leading to a lack of strength in the core and hips.  This class will focus on core and hip strengthening as well as improving flexibility along the hip girdle. The class will also incorporate some smooth yoga flows to warm up the body.  Bring your mat, release your tension and build your strength!
