Counseling Services
Counseling Services' (CS) mission collaborates with the UST's mission to "cultivate the life of the mind and spirit" and "prepare students to meet the global challenges which face our society".
CS recognizes that students develop intellectually, emotionally and socially during college years. Services provided by our department are directed to help students achieve educational goals, improve problem-solving skills and sharpen decision-making abilities. Services include:
- Personal counseling
- Outreach programming
- Consultations addressing such issues as:
- improving study skills
- reducing general anxiety
- family problems
- depression and
- self-esteem concerns

"Express Your Sress!" - Finals Stress Relief
When: December 2, 2008 12:00 – 2:00 PM
Where: Crooker Center hallway
What: Free 10-minute chair massages, soothing refreshments and music, giveaways, art, lecture on stress management, snacks
Who: All students

Crisis Intervention
Students who feel that their problems are urgent and need immediate attention will be seen as quickly as possible during the day. After hours, students should contact Campus Security (Ext. 3888) or Crisis Intervention of Houston, 713-228-1505.
Counseling sessions at UST Counseling Services are confidential. |
