Residence Council
Residence Council is a student organization within Guinan and Young Halls, composed of residents and run by residents. ResCouncil allows every student living in the Residence Halls to voice their opinions, concerns and ideas. Over the past few years, ResCouncil has been responsible for getting a change machine for the laundry room, getting more lighting around campus at night, and running a nightly after-hours concession stand for residents. Perhaps their most notable accomplishment has been starting the Mr. Celt Pageant. After getting it off the ground in Spring 2007, the council produced an even bigger and better pageant in Spring 2008, awarding scholarships to its winners.
Want to get involved in Residence Council? They meet each week on Thursday in the Guinan Conference Room at 10pm. Everyone is welcome!
“ResCouncil is the voice of the students and takes part in making life just a bit better.”
