Meet Our Team
Consisting of a Director, Assistant Director, 3 Area Coordinators (AC), 16 Resident Assistants (RA), and 3 Sophomore Advisors (SA), the Residence Life team maintains one of the lowest resident-staff ratios in the country to ensure personal attention is given to each student.
Before the beginning of each Fall semester, team members participate in a intensive two-week training program focused on areas such as conflict resolution, roommate mediation, community development, diversity, crisis intervention, first aid, and CPR. Training in the Spring allows for teammates to continue those important training conversations and evaluate the needs of residents throughout the rest of the year.
At least two team members are on-call each night when the office is closed and 24 hours on the weekends. The Guinan front desk is also staffed 24 hours daily, when classes are in session. Whether it is creating a fun event, handling a crisis situation, or addressing a minor maintenance concern, the Residence Life team is always prepared to assist our residents. |
