|Letter from the Director|
It is an honor to welcome your student to the University of St. Thomas Residence Hall community, their home away from home. Our goal is to provide a living and learning environment lead by the university’s mission of developing leaders of faith and character.
The transition into college is not always easy, as students’ learn to balance their academics, engaging campus life, and preparing for their futures. Family and friends play a huge part in their students’ lives, and we invite you to get involved as they mature into successful men and women. Encourage your student to take control of their college success by attending classes, building relationships with faculty members and learning about campus resources.
A roommate issue or disagreement is a common situation for our students. These issues are perfectly normal, and we ask that you encourage your student to address these issues with their roommate or seek out “good” council from their Residence Assistants or professional staff. Open and honest communication builds trust and respect between roommates and provides the tools needed to work out similar problems in the future.
The life of a typical college student can be stressful and overwhelming at times. Our Residence Life staff provides a holistic approach to programming, which allows students to have fun, manage their time, and grow physically, mentally, and spiritually. Programs like Wonderful Wednesdays, Pajama Jam and supporting UST Athletics lead to life-long friendships and memories.
With your help and support, your student will grow and learn about opportunities to enhance their college experience and their personal lives.
Thank you for your support and allowing your student to live the Celt Experience.
