Friday night the UST Celts took on the undefeated Eagles of Oklahoma Christian University in Fort Worth. The Celts came out strong taking a 7-0 lead early in the period and held onto a 4 point lead at the half. The Eagles outscored the Celts 43-32 in the second half giving them a 67-60 victory bringing their record to 6-0, the Celts at 2-4. The Celts had 4 players score in double figures lead by freshman Kosi Nwosu with 17 pts, Travis Lampley added 14 pts along with 5 assists and 7 rebounds. Bryan Kaase had 11 pts and Triston Grounds added 10 pts in the loosing effort. The Eagles were lead by David Jackson with 20 pts, Devan White had 15 pts, Andre Vaughn had 14 pts in the win.

Saturday night the UST Celts took on the 10th ranked Rams of Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth in a game that went down to the wire. The Celts took the lead early with a few big shots by freshman Patrick Graves and took a 31-28 lead into halftime despite a good run by the Rams. The Rams took the lead early in the second half before giving it back to UST. Texas Wesleyan took back the lead and held off the Celts earning the hard fought 58-52 victory at home. The win capped a 6 game winning streak for the Rams bringing their record to 6-3, the loss brings the Celts to 2-5 on the season. Patrick Graces lead the Celts with 14 pts and 5 rebounds, Travis Lampley added 9 pts with 4 rebounds and 5 assists in the loosing effort. The Rams were lead by Hector Mukweyi with 17 pts and 8 rebounds
