Resources of the Library

The principal theological resource for the School of Theology is the Cardinal Beran Library. The collection is devoted primarily to materials in theology and closely related subjects.

The Cardinal Beran Library maintains approximately 59,000 books, 1,350 pamphlets and 2200 audiovisual resources. Current journal subscriptions total 375; bound periodicals total 11,000.

Students of the School of Theology also enjoy full access to the wider and more general resources of Doherty Library, located on the main campus of the University of St. Thomas. Doherty Library contains more than 200,000 books; 34,000 bound periodicals and over 15,000 online and paper bound current periodical titles focusing on education, business, science, philosophy and liberal arts.
