- National and local newspapers are shelved in the Reference area (to the right, as you enter the library). Back issues for most are available.
- L'Osservatore Romana English and Spanish
- National Catholic Reporter, National Catholic Register, Our Sunday Visitor, The Tablet
- New York Times, Houston Chronicle, Catholic Herald
- Diocesan newspapers from outside the Houston area are upstairs in the periodical reading room.
