Professional Development
GRACE offers an integrated program of study and supervised field experience which introduces students to the profession of education and enables them to develop as highly competent educators.
- GRACE programs of study are based on current educational research and practice and draw their inspiration from the traditions of Catholic education.
- GRACE programs of teacher education lead to a University of St. Thomas Master of Education degree.
- GRACE offers a teacher education programs which have been approved by the State of Texas. Graduates from this program are eligible for initial certification as 4-8 teachers.
- Courses are completed mainly by intensive study during the first summer of the GRACE program and with six hours while teaching during each of the remaining semesters in the two year program.
- GRACE/In Situ is designed for teachers already in the Catholic School system who would like to complete a master’s degree but are unable to meet the community living expectations for GRACE.
