The reading list can include, but is not limited to: Old Testament; Homer’s Iliad; Herodotus’s On the War for Greek Freedom from History of the Persian Wars; Thucydides’s On Justice, Power and Human Nature: Selections from The History of the Peloponnesian War; Aeschylus’s Oresteia (Agamemnon, Libation Bearers, and Eumenides); Euripides’s Bacchae and Hippolytus from his Ten Plays; Sophocles’s Oedipus the King, Antigone and Oedipus at Colonus; Plato’s Republic, Apology, and Euthyphro; Aristophanes’s The Clouds; H.D.F.
