HNRS 4394 – Independent Research Project
Honors Senior Ara Ayeras working on her research project.
Working with faculty direction, each student designs and pursues a research project in keeping with the goals and methods of his or her chosen major discipline. The results of this research project are presented by the student in a university forum (typically the UST Research Symposium) or scholarly conference. |
Class Checklist for Students
- Design a research project in keeping with the goals and methods of chosen major.
- Choose a faculty member to act as advisor/mentor for the project.
- Prepare and turn in project proposal and budget to Dr. Hall for approval by Honors Program Committee.
- Complete project.
- Present results of project in a university forum or scholarly conference.
- Students usually opt to present at UST's Research Symposium
- Undergraduate Research Symposium – Submission Information
- Faculty advisor assign grade for student and turn in to Dr. Hall.
- Previous years’ abstracts from Honors students
