Anabelle Dominguez - Honors Senior, Liberal Arts
Born and raised in Houston, Anabelle attended Bellaire HS and is currently majoring in liberal arts (with concentrations in Catholic Studies and Theology) and minoring in Music at St. Thomas.
Having heard from a church friend about UST, Anabelle applied and was accepted. When she found out about the Honors Program, she also got involved. “I LOVE the program,” said Anabelle. “Great reading lists, dynamic debates, very diverse classmates. Great opportunities too, like studying with pizza parties, or the conference,” referring to the National Collegiate of Honors Council Conference.
Every year, with ranking based on GPA, six of the top-ranking Honors students are chosen from the junior class to attend the conference. Anabelle was one of the six to go to St. Louis for the conference this past Fall.
An Honors senior, Anabelle certainly has her hands full working on her independent research project and working with her Honors classmates to prepare for the Honors Presentation in the Spring. Still, she finds time for church, to play the violin, and to travel. She’s studied abroad in Israel and went on the Campus Ministry Alternative Spring Break twice. Aside from that, she also enjoys hanging out with her family and friends, reading, sleeping, swimming and cooking. |
