 The Honors Program at the University of St. Thomas is a four-year interdisciplinary program designed not simply to provoke students to master specific disciplines such as philosophy, history, mathematics, and natural science but to offer an experience which integrates, on the deepest and most profound level, the intellectual, cultural and spiritual foundations of a liberal arts education.
As such, the Honors Program challenges its students to draw on their full potential as human persons. The Honors experience affords a special opportunity for U.S.T. students to explore the relationship between liberal education and the practical realities of life, aiming at the development of the whole person and preparing students to assume the responsibilities of leadership for a lifetime of service to the common good of their professions and local communities, the nation, and the larger world.
