| Catholic Studies - This interdisciplinary academic program is open to all students in the University who desire a deeper understanding of the impact of Catholic thought and life upon cultures, the arts and sciences, education and business.
GRACE - The Gulf Region Academy for Catholic Educators (GRACE) – In this graduate program, students complete a master’s degree in education and Texas teacher certification while living in community and teaching in a Catholic school. The three pillars of the GRACE experience are (1) professional development; (2) living in community; and (3) spiritual development.
Honors - The Honors Program embodies the goals of Catholic liberal arts education and accelerates the realization of these goals for a select number of students. Students receive an understanding of the intellectual, cultural, and spiritual foundations of their education as well as the means to use it in the service of their families, professions and communities.
Service Learning - Acting to fulfill the university's vision of responding creatively to challenges posed by poverty, globalization, limited economic resources and changing demographics, students are able to connect classroom theory with practical experience in the community.
Study Abroad - Knowledge of different peoples and cultures through study and internships in foreign countries is valuable preparation for participating in the emerging global economy and culture. Through one of the many available options, as many as 10% of UST's full-time undergraduate students study abroad annually.
Undergraduate Research - Just as craftsmen have for centuries passed along their skills and knowledge to apprentices, UST encourages apprenticeships in undergraduate research. |
