Course Work
Classes for UNIV 1101 fall into four categories:
- presentations by invited faculty across the disciplines
- presentations by faculty serving as First-Year Advisors
- community service project
- workshops
UNIV 1101 begins during Freshman Orientation on Monday, August 20, 2007. Class activities begin on the Academic Mall at 9:00am and continue throughout the day at various locations. Students perform three hours of community service during the afternoon.
During the 2007 Fall Semester, UNIV 1101 continues with weekly classes on Friday afternoon through October 19.
Two workshops on Foresight and Planning and Physical Health and Well-Being complete the Odyssey sessions that freshmen are required to attend.
