Chuo University was founded as Igirisu Horitsu Gakko (the English Law School) in 1885 and has since carried on a strong tradition of providing practical education based on British empiricism and rationalism, as well as maintaining the founding spirit of nurturing human resources in a dynamic and supportive atmosphere.
The practical education offered at Chuo University is more than just acquiring knowledge that is useful in society. The aim of this education is to sincerely and seriously address major issues that affect all humankind and nurture the abilities needed to make a better society.

Deadline: For admission in April 2010, the deadline is October 31, 2009. For admission in September 2010, the deadline is March 31, 2010. Admission for the summer program is due March 20, 2010
Accommodations:
Chuo
University does not have dormitories for students. Housing Section of Chuo University Co-op will help you to find a suitable private apartment. When renting a private apartment, you will be required to pay an initial lump sum of money in the form of key money and deposit in addition to the monthly rent.

Field trip fee: 60,000 Yen (appox. $600 USD)
Accommodation fee: 50,000 Yen (Home stay) (Approx. $500 USD)
