Certification Plans
The University of St. Thomas offers a variety of programs leading toward the early childhood through fourth grade (EC-4), grades 4-8, grades 8-12, and All-Level certificates. All candidates must have one or more teaching fields plus at least 24 – 27 semester hours of professional education. All graduate level candidates for initial certification must complete the following UST courses or their equivalent:

EDUC 5320 Exceptionality in Children and Youth
EDUC 5330 Curriculum and Instruction
EDUC 5332 Educational Psychology
EDUC 5335 Teaching Multicultural Populations.
