After You Are Accepted
After being admitted, the student will receive four important documents in the mail.
- An Acceptance Letter. This contains the UST student ID number and any conditions of the student’s acceptance.
- A Student Degree Plan which is the student’s personal program guideline.
- UST Orientation Information.
- Faith and Culture Student Retreat Information.
Orientation programs at the University of St. Thomas provide opportunities for students to get to know the University, the faculty and some of their classmates. Our orientation programs are specially designed to provide specific information for new students and to help you register for class.
UST offers several important resources on our Web site for current students. Once you have registered, you can register for class online, access your course schedule and your grades, check the status of your financial aid and review your university account using myStThom. You can check your campus e-mail using Webmail. Blackboard is the course management software you and your instructors will share.
Faith and Culture Student Retreat
After admission to the MA or Certificate program, the Center for Faith and Culture requires all students to attend its own Retreat. This is a two-day retreat normally held the weekend (Friday to a Saturday afternoon) prior to the beginning of semester classes. The retreat is intended to orient the student to the program and to key principles for program success, especially as it relates to dialogue and the cohort concepts.
Attendance is mandatory. The following dates should be secured by the student:
- For Fall 2010 (Cohort 1): Friday, Aug. 20, 2010, and Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010.
