Minor in Accounting
Accounting Minor Requirements (18 credit hours – for non-business majors)
I. Course required for all accounting minors (6 credit hours)—every student seeking a minor in accounting must complete the following two courses:
ACCT 1341 - Principles of Accounting I
ACCT 1342 - Principles of Accounting II
II. Options within the Accounting Minor—students may choose any of the following concentrations to complete the minor.
1. Financial Concentration (9 credit hours)
ACCT 3341 - Intermediate Accounting: Assets
ACCT 3342 - Intermediate Accounting: Equities
ACCT 4335 - Fund Accounting
ACCT 3 credit-hour Accounting elective
2. Managerial Concentration (9 credit hours)

ACCT 3336 - Financial Statement Analysis
ACCT 4338 - Accounting Systems

3. Tax Concentration (9 credit hours)

ACCT 3334 - Income Taxation II
ACCT 3335 - Tax Practice

4. General Concentration (12 credit hours chosen from below)
