A NEW HOME FOR CATHOLIC STUDIES
Catholic Studies students now have a place of their own to study and research, have meetings, gather and socialize. The previous Hennigan House has been renovated into multi-purpose spaces for the Honors Program (back duplex) and for Catholic Studies (front duplex). The upstairs of the Catholic Studies home will be used as offices for Alpha Tau Omikron Omega and for Catholic Studies faculty. A BIG thanks to Administration for responding to the needs of a growing UST program!

ST. AUGUSTINE LIVING-LEARNING COMMUNITY
St. Augustine Hall is a living-learning community for those UST students committed to integration of faith, academics, and life. The program is directed by the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist who live in a house adjacent to the eleven apartments that comprise the residence for 19 students. Four of the five residence life staff members belong to Catholic Studies. The Augustine Hall program facilitates integration of faith, reason, and college life by involving students in the development of a small community through participation in a weekly liturgy, meal, and discussion, by providing service on campus and to the extended community, and by engaging in study together both in the classroom and in monthly excursions into the Houston arts. St. Augustine Hall provides a natural complement to the degree program in Catholic Studies since they share the common goal of linking faith to other disciplines, professions, and life experiences. |
